Where We are Headed
Since the Chatham Community Blueprint was presented, released and distributed, four project teams were created specific to the priority issue areas. Each team has co-chairs, also known as community champions, who facilitate meetings with conversation focused on making positive impact. Teams have reviewed strategies, listed activities and begun implementation. In some cases; benchmarks have been defined along with use of logic models design to guide the process of aligning work plans and coordinating projects where deemed appropriate. Much of the current work is about building networks, leveraging resources and increasing partnership through a transparent process.
A Chatham Community Blueprint, Status Report (year-end 2015) was produced which aligns with the recommendations and includes priority issue area indicators, vision statements and goals. This document is intended to facilitate conversation, guide process for decision making specific to program expansion and enhancement as well as funding allocations. An assortment of approaches are being taken to align program and resource allocation as defined in the Blueprint. One of which includes alignment of Chatham County programming and budget consideration for internal operations and departments.
Municipalities, other planning organizations, sponsors and partners are encouraged to use the Blueprint as a guide for decision making processes and guiding priorities.
Project team meetings posted on the events calendar are open to the public.
